In the Mesa and McCarty Road corridor of East Houston, we aim to create a sustainable green space that benefits the community both ecologically and socially through the Living Bridge Project. The proposal includes a living wall, a ground cover area, and a food forest.

EMLI Genesis Crossing at Mesa Rd. is a transformative project spearheaded by Sonia Rivera in 2018, bringing together developers and East Houston Athletic Club to create a $60 million multi-family housing project. This development aims to not only provide housing but also community spaces, encouraging residents to thrive. By utilizing 4% tax credits and private funding, the project will feature 300 housing units along with areas for communal gatherings, town hall meetings, educational programs, and entertainment facilities for the youth. Furthermore, a portion of the wooded area will be preserved to offer green space for the residents and host community events. This initiative is set to act as a catalyst for further developments in the neighborhood including retail outlets, light commercial establishments, and other multi-family residential complexes.
Sonia Rivera plays a crucial role as the project coordinator for this ambitious venture.
